James "Coby" White Jr., 97, died July 5 at Palliative Care Hospice Center, Hampton, Va.
Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, Hampton. Burial with military honors will be in Hampton Memorial Garden.
He was born Jan. 5, 1921, in Wayne County James and Lula Hollomon White.
He is survived by five children.
