RONALD "RON" LEE BREWER

Ronald “Ron” Lee Brewer, 69, Goldsboro, passed away Friday, July 6, 2018, at Duke University Hospital in Durham.
Ron was born Sept. 19, 1948, in Seymour, Ind., to the late Ernest and Esther Speckner Brewer.
He was a 1966 graduate of Seymour Senior High School.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he retired as a technical sergeant with more than 20 years of service.
Following his military career, Ron began working in the electrical department of Lowe’s in Goldsboro.
Ron was a member of Pleasant Grove Original Free Will Baptist Church.
Those of us who knew Ron weep at our loss, laugh with our remembrances and reflect deeply on how much he meant to us.
A service to celebrate Ron’s life will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of Pleasant Grove Church, with his pastor, the Rev. Barry Stallings, officiating.
Interment with full military honors will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at 10 a.m. in Eastern Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery.
Ron is survived by his wife of 29 years, Karen Lee Brewer; children, Angela Thomas and husband, Chris, Kerry Brewer, Steven Stroud, Michael Wheeler and wife, C.J., and Kristin Brewer; grandchildren, Kevin Brewer, Jesse Proctor, Jared Proctor, Nicholas Stroud, Landon Stroud and Maddy Wheeler; sister, Martha Bell; and several nieces and nephews he loved very much.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest and Omer Brewer.
