FRANCES GOODING ROBERTS

Frances Gooding Roberts, 76, Goldsboro, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018, at Wayne UNC Healthcare.
Frances was born in Wayne County Oct. 30, 1941, to the late Franklin and Lillie Lancaster Gooding. She was married to the late Albert Roberts Jr.
Frances was a member of Patetown Church of God.
Her most significant role in life, and what she did best, was being a loving mother to her boys. She will be missed, but will be greatly remembered.
A service to celebrate Frances’ life will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 6 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Marvin Wiggins officiating.
The family will greet friends Saturday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home.
Frances is survived by her sons, Michael Roberts, Kenneth Roberts, John Roberts and wif,e Tammy, Robert Roberts and wife, Jennifer, and Glenn Roberts; sisters, Esther Grant and husband, Randy, and Helen Kermon and husband, Todd; and brothers, Durwood Gooding and wife, Janice, Royce Gooding, and William Gooding.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marjorie Sauls and Linda Hooks, and brother, Frankie Gooding.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in memory of Frances to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105.
