Mrs. Naomi Sue Tolley Fox, 71, member of First Baptist Church of Mount Olive and mother of church associate minister of students and families, the Rev. Felicia Fox, passed away Wednesday night, May 9, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 12, at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Mount Olive, with Dr. Dennis Atwood officiating.
Visitation will be prior to the service in the Christian Life Center beginning at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First Baptist Food Pantry, P.O. Box 203, Mount Olive, N.C., 28365.
Mrs. Fox will be laid to rest at Grassy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery of Spruce Pine.
In coming days, the family will have a service of remembrance in the Spruce Pine area.
Mrs. Fox, widow of Frank H. Fox and daughter of the late Albert P. and Mary Lou Buchanan Tolley, grew up in Burnsville, N.C,. at the foot of Mount Mitchell.
In following years, she lived in Spruce Pine, Caroleen and lastly, the Mount Olive area.
She had been employed in several sewing factories and in furniture manufacturing.
Mrs. Fox is survived by her daughter, Felicia; a brother, Joseph Tolley of Burnsville; and sister and brother-in-law, Cathy T. and the Rev. Kenneth Nelson of Jonesville, NC.
