THE REV. HUGH FREEMAN CHASE

The Rev. Hugh Freeman Chase, 91, Fremont, N.C., went home peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior Feb. 27, 2018, following more than 40 years in the ministry.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Chase; his son, Michael and wife, Marcia; two grandsons, Andrew and Austin; brothers, James (Audrey), Delton (Ruth), Johnny (LaVonne) and Bobby Keith (Paulette); and sisters, Virginia Byrd (Bob), Eva Hehl and Barbara Forehand (Mickey).
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Lillie Mae Edwards Chase; his parents, Herman Chase and Lina Taylor Chase; a brother, William Chase; and a sister, Mae Chase Grimes.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2, 2018, at Howell Funeral Home chapel in Goldsboro at 7 p.m., with visitation immediately following, followed by burial Saturday March 3, 10 a.m. at Chase Family Cemetery.
