DALE RICHARD JARRETT

Dale Richard Jarrett, 84, died Wednesday at Wayne UNC Medical Center.
Born in Conde, S.D., he was the son of the late Chester S. and Bernice Kahla Jarrett.
A funeral Mass will be held Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Parish at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass at the church.
Dale retired as a supervisor with Waukesha Electric, and was a member of American Legion Post 11 and Goldsboro Elks Lodge No. 139.
He served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
Dale is survived by his wife of 64 years, Loretta Vetch Jarrett, and a son, Kirt Jarrett and wife, Tonya, of Goldsboro; he was preceded in death by a son, Keith Jarrett; he was also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Chester Jarrett of Lake City, Minn.; surviving are a brother, Robert Jarrett of Zumbro Falls, Minn., and four grandchildren, Amanda Cosner of Goldsboro, Nathan Jarrett and wife, Sarah, of Goldsboro, Gianna Jarrett of Arlington, Va., and Miranda Jarrett of Warrenton, Va.
Special in his life also was Angela Rodriguez of Warrenton, Va., his previous daughter-in-law.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Dale Jarrett Memorial Fund at St. Mary Catholic Parish, 1000 N. Jefferson St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
Funeral arrangements are with Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.
