Dorothy Woodard Keel, 78, Wayne County, passed away at Smithfield Manor in Smithfield Tuesday evening, Feb. 27, 2018.
Ms. Keel was born Nov. 7, 1939, in Johnston County to the late Milton Headon Woodard and Mary Ellen Johnson Woodard.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Woodard.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 2, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home chapel.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Daniel Woodard officiating.
She is survived by a son, Michael Keel and wife, Terre, of Pine Level; daughters, Michelle Moore and husband, Darryl, of Pine Knoll Shores and Karen Smith and husband, Mike, of Nahunta; sister, Josephine Daughtry of Goldsboro; brother, Charles Woodard of Apex; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Smithfield Manor for its excellent care during Ms. Dorothy's stay there.
