ANDRES V. MENDIOLA

Andres Valentin Mendiola, 81, Elijah Loftin Road, Kinston, N.C., passed away Monday, Feb. 12, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with the Rev. George Futrelle officiating, followed by visitation. Entombment will be Friday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m. in Whitman Family Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Mendiola, a native of Texas, was a retired United States Air Force serviceman.
He attended Walnut Creek Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Whitman Mendiola, a native of the Brock's Chapel area, Mount Olive; a stepdaughter, Kathy Jones and husband, Timothy, of Dover, N.C.; a stepson, Jimmy Davis and wife, Kathie, of Kinston, N.C.; three stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
