Alonzo L. Murphy, 65, 1315 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh, died Tuesday at the Durham VA Medical Center.
Funeral will be Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in James T. Haskins Memorial Chapel of Haskins Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery
He was born July 27, 1952, in Wayne County to Sam and Louise Wright Murphy.
He is survived by three children.
Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. The family will assemble at 700 Robinson Place for the funeral procession.
