WAYLAND DEAN HOGGARD

Wayland Dean Hoggard, 22, passed away Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at Wayne UNC Healthcare surrounded by his family.
Born in Wayne County Feb. 2, 1995, Wayland was the son of Sherry Lynn Sheets Crocker and Gary Dean Hoggard.
He was a true sportsman, most comfortable outdoors, on the water or in the woods.
Wayland was known by many for his ability to do almost anything.
Wayland loved all things fast, especially when he was on a motorcycle or four-wheeler.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate his life in the chapel at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Pikeville Cemetery.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Jed Austin Crocker and wife, Kathryn Louise Crocker, of Clayton; grandmothers, Shirley Hoggard of Goldsboro and Beverly Tripp of Pikeville; nephew, Jesse James Crocker; and uncles, Lawrence Lee Hoggard and Warren Hoggard both of Goldsboro.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Odis Hoggard, and stepfather, Jesse Crocker.
