David Albert Carter died Dec. 1 at Wayne UNC Health Care.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Heart of David Ministries, 202 Church St., Eureka.
He was born Dec. 3, 1948, in Wayne County, to the late Luther T. and Virset Mooring Carter.
He is survived by his mother, of Gastonia.
