Deacon Curtis Wade, 81, 303 Hopes Way Drive, Dudley, passed from time to eternity Sunday in Wayne Memorial Hospital.

He was born to the late John Allen and Calena Rowe Wade Tuesday, Aug. 4, 1936, in Wayne County.

The celebration of life and legacy will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at L.B.J. Community Center. His mortal remains will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park.

He leaves to cherish his wife, pastor Annie "Bunnie" Wade; five sons, Jerage "Roy" Atkinson, Curtis (Wyneva) Wade Jr., John (Kerri) Wade and Alton McCoy all of Goldsboro and Curtis Wade of Miami, Fla.; two daughters, Debbie Wade Baker of the home and Carlena "Pudding" Brinson of Alma, Ga.; and a host of extended children, grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Deacon Wade will lie in state at Ram in the Bush Church, which he built with his own hands, Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. His mortal frame will then be moved to Word of Truth Christian Fellowship in Goldsboro for an inspirational wake from 6 to 8 p.m., with his loving family present to receive friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Haskins Funeral Home.
