Gene Darius Godwin, 75, Princeton, passed away at UNC Johnson Health Nov. 25, 2017.
He was born Aug. 16, 1942, to the late Raymond Edward Godwin and Bertha Rose Braswell Godwin.
A memorial service will be held at Casey Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at 6 p.m., with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating.
He is survived by a son, Neil Godwin of Princeton; daughter, Natalie G. Thompson of Princeton; sister, Joan Pipkin of Princeton; and two grandchildren, Lacey Godwin and Augustus Godwin.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at Casey Funeral Home chapel.
