Peggy Jean Mervin, 79, 3535 Thoroughfare Road, died Wednesday at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Funeral is Tuesday at noon at New Stoney Hill United Holy Church, with Dr. Howard E. McNair officiating. Burial in Holly Hill Cemetery, Kinston.
She was born on March 14, 1938, in Lenoir County, to William and Mattie Poole King. She is survived by her children.
Visitation is today from 4 to 7 p.m. at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
