Wisdom "Bill" Simms, 84, 222 Herbert St., died Oct. 23 at home.
Funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ. Burial will be at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
He was born Sept. 12, 1933, in Wayne County to Offie and Lula Mae Bryant Simms.
He is survived by his children.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 tonight, with the family present 6 to 7, at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremation.
