Nathaniel "Bootsie" Edwards, 73, 1411 E. Elm St., died Sunday in Katie Reynolds Hospice Center in Winston-Salem.
Funeral will be Saturday at noon in James T. Haskins Memorial Chapel of Haskins Funeral Home. Burial will be Monday at noon in Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 31, 1944, in Wayne County to Cozart and Blanche Edwards.
He is survived by two children.
Visitation will be Friday from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with the family present 6:30 to 7:30.
