Mavis Elizabeth "Lib" Honeycutt Lassiter, 79, Goldsboro, passed away Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017.
She was born June 8, 1938, to the late Theola Honeycutt King.
Mrs. Lassiter retired from Rosewood Elementary School cafeteria.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at 6 p.m. in Casey Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock and the Rev. Mike Collier officiating. The burial will take place Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017, at 2 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, David M. Lassiter Sr.; son, David Lassiter Jr. of Princeton; daughters, Darlene Stroud of Princeton, Deborah Hester of Princeton, Barbara Barnes of Goldsboro, Laura Worley of Princeton and Wendy Creech of Princeton; brothers, Reese Honeycutt of Goldsboro and Donnie King of Goldsboro; sisters, Sharon Pate of Rocky Mount and Teresa Young of Las Vegas, Nev.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at Casey Funeral Home chapel.
