Ruth Best Pearce, 92, Patetown community, died Wednesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Graveside service will be today at 2 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born in Wayne County Aug. 2, 1925, to the late John and Rachel Sasser Best. She was married to the late William "Bill" Pearce.
Visitation will follow the service.
Arrangements are by Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home.
