Bonita Gaye Moore, 57, Pikeville, died Thursday, after a lingering illness, in Rex UNC Health Care.
Surviving is her son, Riley Chance Moore, of the home; mother, Linda Sauls Moore Brown, of Pikeville; brother, Tim Moore, of Pikeville; and stepbrother, Chris Brown of Nashville, Tenn.
She was a native of Lenoir County, and was preceded in death by her father, Robert Edward Moore; and stepfather, Ed Brown.
She loved the beach where she had a T-shirt business for a number of years and was later a bookkeeper for Moore's Cabinet Shop. She was always caring. She was a lover of all animals. She loved tending her garden and she loved angels.
The family will have a memorial service for family and friends at a later date.
Arrangements are with Evergreen Memorial Services of Goldsboro.
