Patti Jean Carter Ambriz, 61, of LaGrange, peacefully passed away Friday, July 14, 2017.
Born in Lenoir County, she was the daughter of Matilda Sykes and the late Robert Lee Carter. Patti loved children and served as a babysitter to numerous children over the years.
A service celebrating Patti's life will be held Sunday, July 16, 2017, at 6 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home, with Pastors Arnold Ball and Greg Carswell officiating. A graveside committal service will be held Monday, July 17, 2017, at 10 a.m. from the Cobb Cemetery.
In addition to her mother, Patti is survived by her companion of 22 years, Freddie Morales; brother, Toby Sykes and wife, Juanita; and niece, Sharon Sanders. In addition to her father, Patti was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Carter.
Family and friends will be received Sunday following the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of Evelyn Atchison, 205 Firetower Road, LaGrange, N.C., 28551. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com.
