Tempie Kearney Hartley, 79, died Tuesday.
Funeral will be Friday at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thomas Mclendon and the Rev. Kenneth Evans officiating. Graveside service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Mamie Gladys Smith Kearney.
She is survived by her husband, Luther Adell Hartley, and two children.
Visitation will follow the funeral Friday at the funeral home.
