MELISSA 'MISSY' LEE WADDING FRANCIS

April 7, 1958-June 25, 2017

Melissa "Missy" Lee Wadding Francis, 59, Kinston, N.C., formerly of Western, Pa., went to be with the Lord at 10:05 p.m. June 25, 2017, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, N.C., surrounded by family, following a short illness.

Born April 7, 1958, in Clarion County at the Wadding family farmhouse, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Wadding and Inez and Ernie Quinn.

Missy attended Cranberry High School.

She worked many years cleaning houses and businesses.

She was a very warm hearted and caring woman. She was always thinking of others and putting them first.

She enjoyed painting ceramics, taking care of plants and showing others how to do so.

She loved animals of all kinds, and was known to take in stray cats and spoil them. Her dog, Zoey, held a special place in her heart.

She loved playing games and spending time with family and friends. She loved entertaining children, and always looked forward to babysitting.

Missy will be missed by many, including her two children, Kenneth Schubert and wife, Shannon, and Jessica Lucas and fiancé, James Eckstine; four grandchildren, William Hepp V, Madyson Eckstine and Dominic and Drake Schubert; four sisters, Theresa C. Berger, Betty "Diane" Anderson and husband, Paul, Lisa Dew and husband, Carlos, and Vanessa Upham and husband, John; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Wadding; a sister, Wanda Fisher (Wadding); and a nephew, Anthony Montgomery.

Missy will be laid to rest at Cedarview Memorial in Strattanville, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Missy's honor to your local animal shelter.
