JACK LEE

March 15, 1935-June 26, 2017

Jack Lee, 82, Four Oaks, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro surrounded by his family.

Jack was born in Wayne County March 15, 1935, to the late George Milton Lee and Pearl Denning Lee.

He retired from his many years of service with the state of North Carolina.

Jack's first and favorite occupation, however, was a farmer, and many of his happiest times were spent atop his tractor on the family farm.

He was the kind of man who was loyal to his family, who took great pride in caring and providing for them.

Jack was a member of St. John Pentecostal Holiness Church.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 28, 2017, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at St. John Pentecostal Holiness Church, followed by a service celebrating Jack's life at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary, with the Rev. Jim Skinner officiating. A private interment for the family will follow in Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Richard Parsons officiating.

Jack is survived by his wife of 62 years, Justine Johnson Lee; son, Jeff Lee and wife, Cynthia Bowerslee, of Wilmington; grandchildren, Catherine, Andrew and Luke Lee; and sister, Jane Ebert of Sparta.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Lee, and brothers, Harold Lee and Gordon Lee.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to St. John Pentecostal Holiness Church, 276 St. John Church Road, Four Oaks, N.C., 27524.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.seymourfuneralhome.com.
