Robert Hunter, 59, 112 Marshall St., died Wednesday at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in the James T. Haskins Memorial Chapel at Haskins Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the residence, where they will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
He was born July 2, 1957 in Mecklenburg County, to Jessie Jeffers Jr. and Pauline Smith. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Goff Hunter; and three children.
