Ruth Jackson Herring, 89, Mount Olive, died Tuesday at Mary Gran Nursing Center in Clinton.
Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Holy Ghost Cathedral, with elder Joseph Moore officiating. Burial will be in Carver Cemetery.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Junious and Rachel Farrior Moore.
Five children survive.
Visitation will be 3 to 7 tonight at Garris Funeral Home chapel, with the family present 6 to 7. At other times, the family will be at 1712 N.C. 55 East, Mount Olive.
