Joseph Oates, 42, 1021 S. Center, Mount Olive, died Wednesday in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Wynn Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 19, 1974, in Wayne County to Joseph Mercer and Julia Player.
Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Haskins Funeral Home, with the family present 5 to 6. At other times, the family will receive friends at 101A Johnson St., Mount Olive, where it will assemble for the funeral procession.
