Mable was born in Johnston County Oct. 22, 1941, to the late Harris C. Toler Sr. and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Jane Peedin Toler.

For many years, she worked as a caregiver in a children's daycare, and later as a sitter with the elderly.

Mable is survived by her husband, Larry Gray; sisters, Mae T. Parker and husband, Ed, and Nellie T. Martin; brothers, H.C. Toler and wife, Linda, and Keith Toler and wife, Julia; and 11 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Franklin Toler, and sister, Anne Toler McCormick.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
