MARIE HOWELL WILLIAMS

Marie Howell Williams, Goldsboro, N.C., passed away peacefully May 10 after enjoying 92 years of life.

Ms. Williams was born Dec. 5, 1925, in Duplin County, N.C., to the late Joseph Howell and Ella Blizzard Howell.

She returned to Duplin County after retiring from Reichhold Chemicals, and enjoyed her family, doing yard work and playing cards.

In 1996, she moved to Goldsboro, where she would spend the remainder of her life.

She was a classy lady, who always looked her best and maintained a great sense of humor throughout her life.

Her delight was in keeping in touch with her family, spoiling her dog and watching Jimmy Swaggart.

She is survived by her sisters and best friends, Agnes Vann and Elizabeth Worrell; two children, Donnie Williams of Clarksdale, Miss., and Linda Dettrey of North Las Vegas, Nev.; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a large amount of loving nieces and nephews.
