W. WAYNE SCHNEIDER
March 26, 1946-April 26, 2017
W. Wayne Schneider, 71, resident of Mount Olive, passed into eternal peace while surrounded by his family Wednesday, April 26, 2017.
Wayne was well known throughout the area simply as "Schneider," was employed with Friendly Mart Inc. and McKee Oil Co. in maintenance and worshipped at Spring Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hardison Schneider of the home; two sons, Chris Schneider and wife, Andrea, of Holly Ridge and Shannon Schneider and wife, Heather, of Kinston; two daughters, Jennifer S. Kelly and husband, Danny, of Mount Olive and Missy Smiley and husband, Michael, of Goldsboro; a brother, Danny Schneider of Kentucky; a sister, Louise Griener of Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Lauren Hunt and husband, Justin, Joshua Evans, Logan Kelly, Elijah Schneider, Miranda Schneider, Anna Smiley and Philip Smiley; a great-grandson, Ryan Evans; and his "Friendly Mart family," whom he loved very much.
Wayne was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Madison Hunt, and his parents, Bernard Lee Schneider and Marjorie Marie Taylor Schneider.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 30, at 2 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, with pastor Jason Watford officiating, followed by burial in Calypso Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday, April 29, from 6 to 8 p.m., and at other times, the family will be at the Smiley residence at 118 Mossburg Drive, Goldsboro (off of Buck Swamp Road).
