Kenneth Newton Fallin, 84, Goldsboro, passed away suddenly from a heart attack Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Wayne UNC Healthcare surrounded by his family.

Kenneth was born in Timpson, Texas, June 28, 1932, to the late Sidney D. Fallin and Rosa Alice Rhodes Fallin.

He lived his dream proudly serving as a pilot in the United States Air Force.

Kenneth will always be remembered for his incredible intelligence, his wonderful sense of humor and his patriotism. He retired after serving his country for 20 years with the rank of major. Kenneth's valor and skill were recognized with numerous decorations.

Following his military career, Kenneth worked as a commercial real estate developer.

He was most comfortable outdoors on the water. Kenneth loved the water, and water skiing was his passion. He also had a great love for his boats and cars.

A service to celebrate Kenneth's life will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with Bill Garner officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday following the service at the funeral home and other times at his home.

Interment will be Monday, May 1, 2017, at 10 a.m. in Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Mary Sue Faircloth Fallin; children, Sherry Ann Mitchell (Ronnie), Kenneth Fallin II (Lisa) and Cynthia Fallin Dupuy (Neil); grandchildren, Michael, Megan, Audrey, Ava, Matthew and Emily; and great-granddaughter, Raegan.

He is also survived by his nephews, Steve, Richard and Jerry Fallin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Boyce Fallin.
