Ms. Dorothy Lewis, affectionately known to most as "Ms. Dot," 71, 904B Olivia Lane, Goldsboro, passed Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Wayne UNC Health Care of Goldsboro, N.C.
The celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at noon at Goldsboro Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 1314 Ben Brewington Court, Goldsboro, N.C. She will be laid to rest at Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, N.C.
There will be a viewing held Tuesday, April 11, 2017, from 11 a.m. to noon at the church.
She was a lifelong resident of Goldsboro.
She lived a life of service to her community, which included 27 years of dedicated service to the Wayne County Public School System.
She was the youngest child born to Bircus Lewis and Mary Emma Bowden Lewis Sept. 28, 1945.
She is survived by her daughter, Tallemeko Lewis of Raleigh, N.C.; sister, Mozella "Doll" Shine of Goldsboro, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
