BETTY UNDERWOOD HEAD

Betty Underwood Head, 82, Goldsboro, passed away early Saturday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Betty was born in Johnston County May 9, 1934, to the late Permilous and Thelma Lancaster Underwood, and was married to the love of her life, the late Rudolph Head.
She was a member of Pikeville First Baptist Church.
Betty was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be loved by her children, and will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at 4 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Jimmy Millard officiating.
The family will greet friends Monday, April 3, 2017, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
Betty is survived by her sons, Tony R. Head and Ronnie W. Head and wife, Sandra; daughter, Annette H. Aldridge and husband, Steve; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
