Millard Ray Jones, 83, Wilson, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Oliver House in Wendell.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 6, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, April 5, 2017, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
Mr. Jones was born in Wayne County Aug. 5, 1933, to the late William and Carrie Capps Jones.
He was past employed with Kemp Furniture, Coastal Lumber Co. and C.R. Lentz Wholesale.
He is survived by one son, Stanley Ray Jones and wife, Deanna, of Ayden; two daughters, Vicky Sutton and husband, Steve, of Nashville, N.C., and Linda Britt of Clayton; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one on the way.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Roselean Jones, and three brothers, Alton Jones, Robert Jones and Ralph Jones.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
