MAX HOLLAMON

Max Hollamon, 86, died at his home in LaGrange Thursday evening.

Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Carl and Kathleen Aswell Hollamon.

Max was a veteran of the United States Army, and was a member of Walnut Creek Original Free Will Baptist Church.

A service to celebrate his life will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. George Futrell and the Rev. Jason Sherman officiating.

The family will be greeting friends immediately following the service, and entombment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Mr. Hollamon is survived by his wife, Kathaleen J. Hollamon; sons, Mark W. Hollamon and wife, Linda, and Henry V. Harmon and wife, Nina; grandchildren, Jonathan Harmon, Joseph Harmon, James K. Harmon and Wes Hollamon; stepchildren, Patricia "Pat" Upton, James K. "Rabbit" Womble, Kathy Hughes, Johnny Womble, Geri Mailo, Darryl Ham and Laura Bishop; 17 stepgrandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
