Thelma Coley Artis, of Goldsboro, N.C., 82, passed away Feb. 9, 2017.
Her homegoing celebration will be held Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Word of Truth Christian Fellowship, 1401 N. Carolina St., Goldsboro, N.C. Elder Timothy Dortch, pastor, will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Hooks Grove Church Cemetery.
Public viewing will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., Goldsboro, N.C. She will lie in state one hour, prior to the service on Thursday.
Mrs. Artis is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Sheila Kornegay, and Barbara Lane, both of Goldsboro, N.C.
