LOUGENE W. BLAKLEY

Lougene Wells Blakley, 82, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, at Willow Creek Nursing Home.

Lougene was born in Wayne County, N.C., Nov. 1, 1934, to the late Bruce Wells and Esther Smith Wells. She was married to the late Henry Blakley.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a service celebrating Lougene's life at 7 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Andy Stovall officiating. Interment will be Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Wells Family Cemetery.

Lougene is survived by her daughters, Delores Harrison and husband, Carlton, of Smithfield and Angelia B. Waters of Goldsboro; son, Paul Blakley of Goldsboro; and grandchildren, Kevin Harrison and Clifton Stevens.

She is also survived by her sisters, Annie Rose Stoneburner of Irvin, Texas, and Laroyce Marlowe of Fremont, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lougene was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Bruce Wells.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
