Joseph Hooks Richardson, 96, of Kenly, died Thursday afternoon at Wilson Medical Center.
He was born in Johnston County on Dec. 14, 1920 to the late Johnathan and Bettie Godwin Richardson. He was married to the late Dorothy Lee Evans Richardson.
Funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. by the graveside at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson, with the Rev. Jasper Renfrow officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
He is survived by one daughter.
