Bernard Ray Thompson, 72, 1209 Greenleaf St., died Dec. 28 at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Funeral will be Monday at noon in J.B. Rhodes Jr. Memorial Chapel at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations.
He was born Dec. 15, 1944, in Wayne County to Waddell Thompson and Annie Mae Garrett Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Maevone Imes Thompson, and children.
Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. to noon in the chapel.
