Robert Earl "Bobby" Oates Sr., 69, 102 Beems St., Mount Olive, died Saturday at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Graveside service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Queen Ethel Oates, and two children.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Stanley Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, with the family present 7 to 8. At other times, the family will be at the home.
Arrangements are by Garris Funeral Home.
