JAMES MAC WESTBROOK

Mr. James Mac Westbrook, 76, Newton Grove, died Friday evening at Betsy Johnson Hospital.

He was born in Johnston County May 15, 1940, to late Malcom and Mertie Westbrook.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Kay Westbrook.

James served in the United States Army between the Korean and Vietnam wars.

He was a farmer all of his life.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 19, at 11 a.m. at Unity Presbyterian Church in Newton Grove.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret J. Westbrook; two daughters, Gail Campbell and husband, Scott, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Glenda Westbrook and fiancé, Kirk Hudson, of Fuquay-Varina; two grandchildren, Rileigh Wilkins and Cullen Campbell; four stepdaughters, Susan Heath and husband, Danny, of Four Oaks, Gail Gardner and husband, Craig, of Clayton, Lynn Peacock and husband, Mickey, of Princeton and Sharon Baker and husband, Danny, of Princeton; a brother, John Westbrook of Newton Grove; two sisters, Peggy Henry of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Debbie Westbrook of Newton Grove; eight stepgrandchildren, and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.

The family asks instead of flowers that memorials be made to Future Farmers of America, checks made to North Carolina FFA Foundation, P.O. Box 7654, Raleigh, N.C., 27695.

Arrangements are by Skinner and Smith Funeral Home of Dunn.
