Malcolm Douglas Woodard Sr., 85, died Sunday morning at his home.
Mac was born in Johnston County on Feb. 24, 1931, to the late Barney Festus and Myrtle Watson Woodard. He was married to the late Rose Marie Speight Woodard.
He is survived by two sons and a daughter.
A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the graveside at the Kenly Cemetery with the Rev. Aubrey Williamson officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service at Kenly Cemetery and other times at his home.
Arrangements are with Kenly Funeral and Cremation Service.
