JUDITH "JUDY" ROEBUCK BRITT

Judith "Judy" Roebuck Britt, 68, was loved as a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at 7:38 a.m., Judy went to be with her eternal father after a short battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her father, Simon R. Roebuck, who was a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge.
Judy was born Aug. 15, 1948, in Washington County, N.C.
Survivors include son, Jamie Roebuck and wife, Whitney, children, Aryanna and Alexander; daughter, Robin Britt Caveness and husband, Joseph, children, Britt and Joseph III; the father of Jamie and Robin, Cedric "Tom" Britt; her mother, Faye Roebuck; brother, Timmie Roebuck and wife; Lynette; and sister, Tammy Harrell.
After graduating from nursing school in Rocky Mount, N.C., Judy served as a lieutenant and nurse in the United States Air Force and did service in the Philippines as a pediatric nurse.
After the Air Force, Judy worked as an RN at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
Following her service in the military, she worked at a nursing home in Mount Olive, N.C., for several years.
The family will have a private memorial to celebrate Judy's life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, N.C.
