Theodore "Teddy" Newsome died Wednesday at Wayne UNC Healthcare.
Funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at St. James AME Zion Church. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park North with military honors.
He was born Nov. 11, 1929, to Bessie Croom and David Newsome Sr.
Visitation will be 2 to 7 tonight, with the family present 6 to 7. At other times, the family will receive friends at 1009 Claiborne St., where it will assemble for the funeral procession.
Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
