BETTY MOODY HINES

Betty Moody Hines, 78, resident of the Dudley area, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Her funeral will be held Monday, July 25, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive, with the Rev. John Howard and the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating, followed by visitation. Burial will be Tuesday, July 26, at 10 a.m. at Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery.
Friends and family are also being received at the home of Jamey and Tracy Hines, 1055 Emmaus Church Road, Dudley.
Mrs. Hines had been employed in various sewing rooms, and was also a babysitter to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Major Dortch Moody and Beulah Lewis Moody; a brother, Buddy Moody; and three sisters, Rae Jones, Nettie Prince and Kathy Mae Johnson.
She is survived by four children, Mike Rivenbark and wife, Barbara, of Seven Springs, Melody Rogers and husband, Larry, of Tyler, Texas, Melissa Shannon Daughtry and husband, Randy, of Goldsboro and Jamey Hines and wife, Tracy, of Dudley; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rochie Moody Taylor of Dudley and Jimmie Dawn Davis of Goldsboro; and several nieces and nephews, who lovingly gave of their time and talents to do various tasks for their Aunt Betty through the years.
