THELMA COTTON HOWELL

Thelma Cotton Howell, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, July 14, 2016, at the Brian Center.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, July 17, 2016, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. The Rev. Christian Powell and the Rev. Walter Sloan will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Howell was born in Wayne County March 16, 1927, to the late John and Flora Howell Cotton.
She was a faithful member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church, where she loved to attend church and fellowship.
She will be deeply missed.
Mrs. Howell is survived by her daughter-in-law, Beverly Howell of Goldsboro; one brother, Shelton “Bobby” Cotton of Goldsboro and wife, Alene; two grandsons, Brian Howell and wife, Majena, and Eric Howell and wife, Jennifer; and four great-grandchildren, Cody and Courtney Howell and Walker and Taylor Howell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Howell; her son, Robert J. Howell Jr.; and a sister, Nellie Tyndall.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
