Mrs. Edna Breshears (Warrick), resident of Goldsboro, passed away July 3, 2016, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in the Grantham community, she attended Grantham School.
The 11th child of Emmett and Maybell Bordeaux Warrick, she was retired from O’Berry Center, and due to severe COPD, spent her happiest times sharing with family in person or by phone on a daily basis.
Her younger years were spent defending her siblings, laughing loudly and enjoying the people around her.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Leslie Warrick, Claudie Warrick, Elizabeth Overby, Pauline Holloway, Rannette Howell, Mae Shumate, Shirley Knowles, Christine Smith and Hazel Gooding, and an infant sister.
She is survived by her brother, Haywood Warrick of Concord; her daughter, Paula Coe of Pikeville; her grandsons, David and Billy; and her great-grandchildren, Samantha, Ethan, Melody, Jessica and Kevin.
Family members will greet friends immediately following the service.
