Major Ivo King Sr., 78, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday, July 1, 2016, at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro with full military honors.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. King was born in Alabama to the late Charlie and Renola Stafford King.
He was retired from the United States Air Force.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Bertha Miller King; one son, Major I. King Jr. and wife, Monika, of Goldsboro; three daughters, Gabrielle K. Blount and husband, Edward, of Goldsboro, Yvette E. DeBlanc and husband, Gerald, of Texas and Zinita C. Fraiser and husband, Darrell, of Germany; one brother, Emmanuel King and wife, Barbara, of Alabama; one sister, Daisy Martin and husband, Jerry, of Alabama; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
