Joseph Roosevelt Young, 60, 152 Beulah Drive, Pikeville, N.C., passed away Friday, June 17, 2016, at the Brian Center of Goldsboro, N.C.
He was born May 23, 1956, in Wayne County to the late James Franklin Young and Josephine Faison Young.
Homegoing services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016, at noon at Philadelphia Community Church, 357 Hare Road in Goldsboro, N.C., with pastor Rodger Taylor officiating.
He is survived by his two children, Joseph Young Jr. and Jennah Young both of Boston, Mass.; one grandchild, Arianna Milan Young; two sisters, Jo Anne Young of Goldsboro, N.C., and Mildred (Samuel) Cunningham of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Victor (Lisa) Young Sr. of Goldsboro, N.C.; and hosts of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
Visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2016, from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, N.C.
