Beverly Smith Lane, 54, arrived at her heavenly home on Saturday at Wake Medical Center after a long illness. She was born in Wayne County to Margie Smith Mitchell and the late James R. Smith.
The family will be receiving friends at the home of her mother, Margie S. Mitchell. A funeral celebrating her life will be held at a later date.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Phillip Joseph Goff and wife, Crystal Marie; a loved granddaughter, Piper Elizabeth Goff; a sister, Cyndi Siers and husband, Derek; nephew, Chris Stevens; niece, Melissa Milligan and husband, Matt; great-nephew, Kaidyn Milligan; great-niece, Peyton Milligan; and many special friends at the Healing Place of Wake County.
