Steve Lipscomb, 64, Goldsboro, peacefully passed away Monday, April 18, 2016, at Wake Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Steve was born in Wayne County Jan. 29, 1952, to the late Marvin and Pauline Toler Lipscomb.
He had worked as a plant manager with Williams Food.
Those of us who knew Steve weep at our loss, laugh with our remembrances and reflect deeply on how much he meant to us. He made the world a healthier and happier place.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 21, 2016, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service celebrating Steve's life at 7 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be Friday, April 22, 2016, at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.
Steve is survived by his wife of 45 years, Vernell Lipscomb; sons, Dwayne Lipscomb and wife, Heather, and their daughter, Olivia, and Jeremy Lipscomb and fianceé, Amanda; his brother, Ricky Lipscomb; and nephews, Brandon Lipscomb and Matthew Lipscomb.
